Orono Youth Football

Thank you for your interest in coaching Orono Youth Football. We have some exciting new coach programs for 2011. Below is the general process for coach application and selection process. 

• Overview
  • The LMAA has joined USA Football. One of the new benefits is a coach training program. OYF will participate in this program for all grades by selecting two coaches per team to become USA Football certified. This is an online coarse that needs to be completed before you attend the LMAA rules meeting.
  • The program also provides training techniques for teaching drills, etc.
  • As a certified coach, you earn a team page to be used for running practice and enabling parents to participate at home with their son.
• Application Process
  • Complete the OFY Coach Application registration form
    • This will enable OYF to know who is interested in coaching.
  • LMAA badged coaches
    • This step applies to those coaches that participate in the game from within the sideline box.
    • This group may/will be larger than the two per team that will become USA Football certified. 
    • If your interest is to help the coaches at practice or manage non coach issues at a game, you do not need to go through this process. 
    • To earn the LMAA coach badge, there is a second registration called 2011 LMAA Coach Registration.
