No previous coaching experience is required, and the coaching opportunity is open to both moms and dads. The program requires each coach to attend an annual coaching clinic. We request that each coach understand and accept that the program is for the kids.
While many of the coaches have children in the program and coach on their children's teams, we have several coaches that participate every year without having a child in the program.
The LMAA requires background checks be conducted with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for every head and assistant coach. Forms are below or at the coaches clinic and can be submitted at the coaches' clinic.
Only those coaches who have had a background check, attended the coaches clinic, received a copy of the rules, and received a league issued I.D. will be permitted to coach players in the LMAA.
As a token of appreciation for the time and effort of volunteering for coaching, each team will have up to three sponsorship promotions (one per coach up to three) available on this website.
